Spotlight on Savalites:
Everesting Mission Peak by Savalites -
Mission accomplished! With God's grace and the support of our well-wishers, we conquered the Everesting challenge at Mission Peak! A group of five hikers, including Savalites Umesh Patel, Malli and Manoj Jha spent 44 grueling hours on Mission Peak, tackling a crazy challenge – summiting the peak via the Stanford Trailhead nearly 14 times. Yes, you read that right, ~14 times!
Why the madness? Inspired by the Everest challenge, we decided to conquer Everest right here in our backyard instead of flying to Nepal. The idea was simple: hike Mission Peak repeatedly until our total elevation gain matched Mount Everest's 29,029 feet. It wasn’t easy. Each ascent pushed us to our limits, but the camaraderie and the ambitious goal kept us going.
Everesting Mission Peak Stats
A huge thanks to our wonderful support teams. Without them, we couldn't have even imagined finishing this goal. It's indescribable to know we summited Everest – well, Everest-worth-of-Mission-Peak, that is!
